In 1929 the flag was changed. The central blue with sun changed to round, and a tiny narrow gold frame added near all
the border (less hoist). The flag was fringed argent. Nozomi Kariyasu provided me the information after his visit to the History Museum in Taipei.

I have once read that this flag is actually kept in the Museum of Military History in Taipei.

This flag was not for the Head of State, but for the head of "General
Headquarters of Army, Navy and Air Force" (dismissed in end 1931).
